Lath plaster vs drywall11/15/2023 ![]() If you do decide to tear them down, I would highly recommend breathing/eye protection and plastic barriers to keep the dust contained. While I didn't need to tear down the walls, I figure I might as well insulate & update the knob/tube wiring. The interior walls are all plasterboard (idk why they built it like that). The walls were able to be saved, but only the exterior walls are lath/plaster.
